CHAGEE® REWARDS PROGRAM TERMS & CONDITIONS

PLEASE READ THESE REWARDS PROGRAM TERMS & CONDITIONS CAREFULLY, ALONG WITH THE CHAGEE TERMS OF SERVICE AND THE CHAGEE PRIVACY NOTICE. The Terms of Service include a binding arbitration agreement and a class action and jury trial waiver that apply to most disputes between you and CHAGEE, including disputes arising out of or relating to CHAGEE Rewards. These provisions affect your legal rights.
1. Program Overview; Agreement to These Rewards Terms
The CHAGEE® Rewards program (the “Program” or “CHAGEE Rewards”) is a free loyalty, rewards, and membership program offered by CHAGEE (CA) LLC and its affiliates (collectively, “CHAGEE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to enrolled members residing in the United States. The Program allows you to earn points (“Points”) on qualifying purchases of CHAGEE drinks at participating CHAGEE U.S. teahouses and through the CHAGEE U.S. mobile application, and to redeem Points for rewards described in the CHAGEE app (each, a “Reward”).
These Rewards Terms form a binding agreement between you and CHAGEE and govern your enrollment in and participation in CHAGEE Rewards. By enrolling in CHAGEE Rewards, by earning or redeeming Points, or by checking a box or clicking a button indicating your acceptance of these Rewards Terms, you agree to be bound by these Rewards Terms.
The CHAGEE Terms of Service and the CHAGEE Privacy Notice also apply to your participation in CHAGEE Rewards and are incorporated into these Rewards Terms by reference. The Terms of Service include a binding arbitration agreement, a class action and jury trial waiver, a limitation of liability, and an indemnification obligation that apply to disputes arising out of or relating to CHAGEE Rewards. Please read the Terms of Service carefully. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting the Terms of Service or these Rewards Terms (whichever is earlier) by following the procedures described in the "Dispute Resolution" section of the Terms of Service.
Capitalized terms used but not defined in these Rewards Terms have the meanings given in the Terms of Service. To the extent of any conflict between these Rewards Terms and the Terms of Service with respect to the Program, these Rewards Terms control.
We may update these Rewards Terms from time to time. Updated Rewards Terms will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated as described in Section 18. Your continued participation in the Program after the effective date of any updated Rewards Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Rewards Terms.
2. Eligibility
To enroll in and participate in CHAGEE Rewards, you must: (a) be at least 13 years of age (and, if you are between the ages of 13 and the age of majority in your state of residence, generally 18, you must enroll and participate with the involvement, consent, and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Rewards Terms on your behalf); (b) be a resident of one of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia; (c) have a CHAGEE account in good standing; (d) have a valid personal email address; and (e) provide accurate, current, and complete information to CHAGEE.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, where required by applicable law, you must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your state) to: (i) form a binding contract; or (ii) take any other action requiring an adult under applicable law. CHAGEE Rewards is offered only to individuals enrolling in their personal capacity for personal, non-commercial use, and is not available to corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, or other entities, or to any individual enrolling on behalf of an entity. CHAGEE employees and contractors may participate to the extent permitted by their applicable employment policies.
We may verify your eligibility at any time and may refuse, suspend, or terminate your participation in CHAGEE Rewards if we determine that you are not eligible.
3. How to Join
You may enroll in CHAGEE Rewards by: (a) creating a CHAGEE account in the CHAGEE app, or (b) opting in to CHAGEE Rewards through your existing CHAGEE account. Enrollment requires that you provide your first and last name, email, phone number, and that you accept these Rewards Terms and the Privacy Notice. Limit one CHAGEE Rewards account per individual. Multiple, fraudulent, or duplicate accounts may be consolidated, suspended, or terminated at our reasonable discretion, and any associated Points may be forfeited.
4. Earning Points
4.1 Earn Rate
You earn two (2) Points for every one U.S. dollar ($1.00) of qualifying spend on qualifying purchases (rounded down to the nearest whole Point). Qualifying spend is the pre-tax, pre-tip subtotal of qualifying items, after applying any discounts, promotional codes, or Reward redemptions, and excluding any items, fees, or amounts listed in Section 4.2 (Exclusions). The earn rate may be modified by us at any time as described in Section 13.
4.2 Exclusions
The following purchases and amounts do not earn Points:
purchases made through any third-party delivery platform (including, without limitation, DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, or other delivery, marketplace, or aggregator services), even if the order is for CHAGEE products;
purchases of CHAGEE gift cards or e-gift cards (Points may, however, be earned on qualifying purchases later made using a CHAGEE gift card balance);
applicable taxes (including sales, use, excise, and similar taxes);
tips, gratuities, service charges, and any delivery, courier, or platform fees;
any amount paid using a Reward, promotional credit, or other discount;
purchases made at any non-participating CHAGEE location, including, where applicable, CHAGEE locations operated by independent licensees outside the Program;
purchases made before you became an enrolled CHAGEE Rewards member or that are not properly associated with your CHAGEE Rewards account at the time of purchase;
purchases that are subsequently refunded, charged back, or canceled (any Points earned on the original purchase will be reversed); and
any other purchases or amounts that we, in our reasonable discretion, designate as non-qualifying from time to time.
4.3 How Points Are Credited
To earn Points, you must be properly identified as a CHAGEE Rewards member at the time of purchase, by (a) signing in to your CHAGEE account in the CHAGEE app and placing a qualifying mobile-order-ahead order through the app, or (b) presenting your CHAGEE app Rewards screen, member QR code, or other CHAGEE-supported identifier to a CHAGEE team member at the point of sale before payment is processed. Points generally appear in your account within 24 to 48 hours of a qualifying purchase. If you believe you should have earned Points but they are not credited, please contact us within thirty (30) days of the purchase at support@chagee.com so we can investigate.
4.4 Bonus Offers; Promotions
From time to time, we may offer promotional opportunities to earn additional or bonus Points (each, a “Bonus Offer”). Each Bonus Offer may be subject to additional terms (“Bonus Offer Terms”) that will be made available to you at the time of the Bonus Offer. Bonus Offers may be limited in time, target audience, or supply, may be non-transferable, and may be modified or discontinued by us at any time without notice. Unless otherwise stated, Bonus Offers are not retroactive. To the extent of any conflict between these Rewards Terms and any Bonus Offer Terms, the Bonus Offer Terms control with respect to that Bonus Offer.
5. Redeeming Points for Rewards
You may redeem Points for Rewards listed in the CHAGEE app at the redemption rate shown for each Reward. Reward availability, redemption rates, terms, and exclusions are displayed in the CHAGEE app and may change from time to time. Points may only be redeemed in the app, by an enrolled CHAGEE Rewards member in good standing, and at participating CHAGEE U.S. teahouses or through the CHAGEE app for in-store pickup. Reward redemption is not available through any third-party delivery platform.
To redeem a Reward, follow the redemption flow in the CHAGEE app. Once redeemed, a Reward will appear in your account or be applied to your eligible order. Rewards: (a) may not be combined with other Rewards or offers unless expressly permitted by the Reward Conditions; (b) have no cash value, are not redeemable for cash, and are not transferable, except as required by applicable law; (c) may not be sold, bartered, or auctioned; (d) cannot be applied retroactively to past purchases; and (e) may be subject to additional terms and exclusions disclosed at the time of redemption (“Reward Conditions”).
If a qualifying purchase made using a Reward is later refunded or canceled, the associated Reward generally will not be reinstated. Where appropriate, we may, in our reasonable discretion, return the Reward (or its corresponding Points) to your account.
6. Point and Reward Expiration
6.1 Point Expiration
Each batch of Points expires twelve (12) months after the date on which those Points were earned (the "Earn Date"), regardless of any subsequent qualifying purchases or other account activity. Points are expired on a rolling, first-earned-first-expired basis. Example: if you earn 100 Points on January 1, 2026 and earn 50 additional Points on March 15, 2026, the first 100 Points will expire on January 1, 2027 and the additional 50 Points will expire on March 15, 2027, even if you continue to make qualifying purchases during that period. Where commercially practical, we will notify you by email and/or in the CHAGEE app before your Points are due to expire so you have an opportunity to use them. Expired Points cannot be reinstated except in our reasonable discretion or as required by applicable law.
6.2 Reward Expiration
Each Reward, once redeemed, has its own expiration date or window for use, which will be displayed at the time of redemption and in your CHAGEE app account. Unredeemed Rewards expire as stated in the applicable Reward Conditions. Expired Rewards cannot be reinstated except in our reasonable discretion or as required by applicable law.
6.3 Account Inactivity
We may, in our reasonable discretion, close any CHAGEE Rewards account that has been inactive for a prolonged period of time. If we close your account for inactivity, any unredeemed Points in the account at the time of closure will be forfeited, subject to applicable law.
7. Birthday Perks and Other Member Benefits
From time to time, we may offer enrolled CHAGEE Rewards members complimentary or discounted Rewards or other benefits, including birthday perks. To be eligible for a birthday perk, you must have provided your date of birth at least thirty (30) days before the date of the perk and must redeem the perk during the perk window described in the CHAGEE app or in our communications with you. Birthday perks and other member benefits are subject to availability, may be limited per member per year, are not transferable, and may be modified or discontinued by us at any time.
8. Program Transition; Legacy Tiers and XP
Effective November 17, 2025 (the “Freeze Date”), CHAGEE discontinued the member-facing use of the legacy CHAGEE Rewards experience-points (“XP”) and certain legacy tier designations (e.g., "Tea Lover," "Tea Connoisseur," "Tea Master") that were in effect prior to the Freeze Date (the “Legacy Program”). Following the Freeze Date, the legacy tier designations listed above and the member-facing display of XP were retired. CHAGEE may continue to use internal metrics derived from member spending (including metrics calculated in the same manner as legacy XP) for internal Program administration purposes, including to determine eligibility for the "Steep Society Member" designation or other membership tiers that CHAGEE may offer from time to time. A member who accumulates qualifying spend of one thousand U.S. dollars ($1,000) or more within a rolling 365-day period may be designated a Steep Society Member and may receive benefits associated with that designation, as described in the CHAGEE app. Steep Society Member eligibility criteria and benefits are subject to change in accordance with Section 13.
Any benefits, rewards, or perks that you had earned under the Legacy Program and that had not been redeemed as of the Freeze Date were honored for the transition period described in CHAGEE’s Freeze Date communications and have, except where expressly extended, lapsed in accordance with those communications.
Steep Society Member status is evaluated on a rolling basis, and a member who does not maintain the qualifying spend threshold during any rolling 365-day period will revert to standard membership at the end of that period
9. Points and Rewards Are Not Your Property
Points and Rewards are not your property. They have no cash value, are not currency, are not negotiable instruments, and are not refundable. Points and Rewards: (a) are not transferable upon death, as part of a domestic relations matter, by inheritance, or otherwise by operation of law; (b) may not be combined among accounts; (c) may not be sold, transferred, bartered, or assigned; (d) are not redeemable for cash, except where required by applicable law; and (e) are not subject to assignment, attachment, or garnishment. Any unredeemed Points or unused Rewards are forfeited upon termination, suspension, or closure of your CHAGEE Rewards account, or upon termination of the Program, except where required by applicable law.
10. Marketing Communications
10.1 Email Marketing
If you provide us with your email address and consent to marketing communications, you authorize us to send you marketing emails about CHAGEE products, the Program, promotions, events, surveys, and other matters that may be of interest to you. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by adjusting your account preferences in the CHAGEE app.
10.2 Push Notifications
If you have installed the CHAGEE app and have enabled push notifications on your mobile device, we may send you Program-related push notifications. You may disable push notifications at any time through your mobile device settings.
11. Prohibited Conduct
You agree that you will not (and will not assist or permit any third party to):
use CHAGEE Rewards, Points, or Rewards in any fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or unlawful manner;
open or maintain more than one CHAGEE Rewards account, or open an account on behalf of, or in the name of, any other person;
earn or attempt to earn Points other than through your own bona fide qualifying purchases (for example, by structuring transactions, using stolen or unauthorized payment methods, or exploiting bugs or pricing errors);
sell, transfer, barter, or attempt to sell, transfer, or barter Points, Rewards, or your CHAGEE Rewards account or login credentials;
use any robot, spider, scraper, or automated means to access, monitor, or interact with the Program or the CHAGEE app;
make any false, misleading, or fraudulent statement to CHAGEE in connection with the Program;
interfere with the proper operation of the Program or with the experience of other members; or
violate these Rewards Terms, the Terms of Service, or any applicable law in connection with your participation in the Program.
These Program-specific prohibitions are in addition to, and do not limit, the prohibited conduct provisions in Section 7 of the Terms of Service.
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of this Section and to take any action we reasonably deem appropriate, including reversing improperly earned or redeemed Points, suspending or terminating your CHAGEE Rewards account, suspending or terminating your CHAGEE account, reporting suspected unlawful activity to law enforcement, and pursuing any other remedies available at law or in equity.
12. Account Security
Your account-security obligations under Section 2 of the Terms of Service apply to your CHAGEE Rewards account. If you believe your account has been or may be accessed without your authorization, please contact us promptly at support@chagee.com.
13. Program Modifications; Suspension; Termination
We may, in our reasonable discretion, modify, suspend, or terminate any aspect of CHAGEE Rewards (including the earn rate, the redemption rate, eligible products, Rewards, expiration policies, geographic availability, or any feature) at any time. Where we make a material change that adversely affects your accrued Points or your ability to use them, we will provide reasonable advance notice (which may be by email, in the CHAGEE app, on our website, or by other reasonable means) before the change takes effect, except in cases of fraud, security, regulatory, or operational necessity. We may discontinue CHAGEE Rewards in whole or in part at any time. Upon termination of the Program, you will have a reasonable period (as we communicate at the time) to redeem any unredeemed Points; thereafter, all unredeemed Points will be forfeited unless otherwise required by applicable law. Section 20 of the Terms of Service (Termination; Suspension) governs the suspension and termination of your CHAGEE account; this Section 13 governs the Program-specific consequences for your participation in CHAGEE Rewards.
14. Privacy
Our Privacy Notice describes how we collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process the personal information we collect in connection with CHAGEE Rewards and the rest of the Services, and the privacy rights and choices available to you under applicable law. By participating in CHAGEE Rewards, you acknowledge that you have read and understand our Privacy Notice.
15. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to CHAGEE Rewards or these Rewards Terms is governed by, and will be resolved in accordance with, Section 17 (Dispute Resolution; Binding Arbitration; Class Action Waiver) of the Terms of Service, including the requirement to first attempt informal resolution, the binding individual arbitration requirement, the class, collective, and representative action waiver, the mass-arbitration procedures, the carve-outs for small-claims court and intellectual-property injunctive relief, and your right to opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting the Terms of Service or these Rewards Terms (whichever is earlier) by following the procedures described in Section 17.7 of the Terms of Service. Any opt-out of arbitration validly submitted under the Terms of Service also applies to disputes arising out of or relating to CHAGEE Rewards; you do not need to opt out separately under these Rewards Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Rewards Terms and any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Rewards Terms or the Program (to the extent not governed by the Federal Arbitration Act) are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
17. No Sale; Taxes
CHAGEE Rewards is offered to you free of charge. You are responsible for any taxes that may be associated with your receipt or use of any Reward. CHAGEE may, where required by applicable law, report Rewards or other Program benefits to tax authorities and may request your taxpayer identification information for that purpose.
18. Changes to These Rewards Terms
We may amend these Rewards Terms in accordance with the change-management approach described in Section 21 of the Terms of Service, including by posting the amended Rewards Terms in the CHAGEE app and at www.chagee.us/rewards-terms and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will not apply retroactively to Points already earned.
19. General Provisions
Section 23 of the Terms of Service (General Provisions) applies to these Rewards Terms. The entire-agreement, severability, no-waiver, assignment, headings, and other general provisions in Section 23 of the Terms of Service are incorporated by reference. With respect to CHAGEE Rewards, the order of precedence is: (a) any Reward Conditions or Bonus Offer Terms, with respect to the specific Reward or Bonus Offer they cover; (b) these Rewards Terms; and (c) the Terms of Service.
